     REELEX’s Long and Winding Road from WWII to Patterson!

Patterson is home to a company that has quietly transformed the cable winding industry. Privately held REELEX Packaging Solutions provides machines and packaging methods to cable and wire manufacturers that produce twist-free, tangle-free, and hassle-free payout for installers. Its humble beginnings harken back to NYC during WWII, moving to Putnam County in 1993. Check out their story on their website.

 

 

 

 

Putnam Service Dogs Trains Rescues to Lift Up People’s Lives

Our President, Kathleen Abels, right, and Administrative Assistant, Stratos Pratt, visited Putnam Service Dogs in Brewster recently to meet dogs-in-training. EDC teams up with regional film commission

As of December 2020, the Putnam County Economic Development Corporation in collaboration with Putnam County Tourism and Putnam County IDA, has started working with the Hudson Valley Film Commission to bring more film production to the Mid-Hudson Valley region. The Hudson Valley Film Commission is a 501(c)(3) non profit organization that helps productions secure local crew, cast, locations, vendors, post production facilities, and more! Since 2000, the film commission has supported and worked on over 500 productions, helping to create thousands of jobs and over $250 million in regional economic development.
